CSF1R T567M mutation induces microglial dysfunction and synaptic impairment in patient iPSC-derived cerebral organoids of CSF1R-related disorder

Excited to share this new paper published in Cell Death Discovery:
“CSF1R T567M mutation induces microglial dysfunction and synaptic impairment in patient iPSC-derived cerebral organoids of CSF1R-related disorder.”

This study uses patient iPSC-derived microglia and cerebral organoids to model CSF1R-related disorder, showing that the T567M mutation leads to neuroinflammation in mutated CSF1R iPSC-derived microglia. Furthermore, pathogenesis driven by CSF1R-T567M mutation was exclusively studied, highlighting the critical role of CSF1R signaling in neural homeostasis.
