Singapore Cell and Gene Therapy (SCGT) Pan Asia Summit 2025

Singapore Cell and Gene Therapy (SCGT) Pan Asia Summit 2025 ๐ŸŒ

What an incredible two days of science, innovation, and meaningful connections at hashtag#SCGT2025 on 17โ€“18 July 2025. The summit brought together a diverse group of global experts to share their recent works and future directions in cell and gene therapy, with a strong focus on accelerating impact across Asia.

The keynote talks were truly inspiring. Prof. Chang Yun-Sil presented dedicated work on MSC and EV therapies for neonatal diseases, while Prof. Andras Nagy highlighted the development of immune-evasive stem cellsโ€”a promising platform for off-the-shelf cell therapy. Prof. Harvey Lodish took us on a captivating journey through the history of human biotechnology, reminding us how far we’ve come. We also heard from Dr. Dimitrios Mougiakakos, who is pioneering the use of CAR T cells in autoimmune diseases, and Dr. Jae Park, who shared updates on CAR T cell therapies for hematologic malignancies. Rounding off the keynote series, Dr. Hiroshi Kawamoto introduced exciting work on off-the-shelf T cells from ES/iPSCs for applications in leukemia and COVID-19.

The scientific program was rich and diverse, featuring sessions from gene therapy, immuno-oncology, regulatory and safety frameworks, cell-derived modalities, and manufacturing process and analytics. A special spotlight was given to regional development efforts in Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, and India, underscoring the growing ecosystem of cell therapy innovation across Asia.

The summit concluded with a thought-provoking panel discussion on the future of CGT, featuring respected voices in the field. Their insights into scientific, clinical, and regulatory advancements provided a fitting end to an impactful event.

A heartfelt thank you to all the speakers, sponsors, poster presenters, oral presenters, and participants for contributing to the success of this summit. Congratulations to the co-chairs, and deep appreciation to the organizing committee for curating such a well-executed and meaningful event! ๐Ÿ‘
